OYSTER KNIFE
French, 17th century.
Heart-shaped, pierced brass handle, the sickle-shaped foldable blade engraved with tendrils and blossoms and inscribed "VIVE LE ROY". Smith's mark in the shape of a key.
L 12.8 cm.
Blade somewhat corroded.
