TORTOISESHELL AND GOLD TABATIÈRE WITH A MINIATURE MEDALLION
Paris, 1767-68. Charge stamp by Jean-Jaques Prévost (1762-68). Maker's mark Noel Hardivilliers.
Oval box made of tortoiseshell with red gold stripes. Mount in yellow gold decorated with flowers and ribbons. The center of the lid with an applied medallion with an oval miniature portrait depicting the bust of a young woman facing left, in a light blue robe.
L: 7 cm, H: 3.1 cm, 90 g.
