TEA BOWL FROM THE ROYAL COURT CONFECTIONERY IN WARSAW

Meissen, ca. 1745-50, painted by Gottfried Klinger (1711-1781).
Painted in underglaze blue with AR (Augustus Rex) monogram and woodcut flowers and insects. Underglaze blue sword mark and inventory mark K.H.C.W.
H 4.5 cm.


Provenance:
From a dessert service from Warsaw Castle for Augustus III. (1696-1763), Elector of Saxony and King of Poland. With the inventory mark of the Royal Court Confectionery in Warsaw.
