Book of Hours. Latin script on vellum. With 5 large miniatures with floral borders, 6 major initials with borders as well as numerous small initials. All in gold and colour.
Paris, circa 1400. 18.5 × 13.5 cm [130] ff., 16 lines of Gothic Textura. Written area 12.2 × 17.7 cm. Somewhat late, restored full leather binding (17th century) using old cover with rich floral gold ornament on spine and cover, blind embossed edges (cover slightly warped, slightly rubbed and worn, somewhat stained).
Includes the following: 19r: Annunciation. - 78r: Crucifixion. - 84r: Pouring forth of the Holy Spirit. - 89r: Office of the Dead - 126r: Resurrection. Slightly browned, faint staining in parts (only minimal wear on text), occasional light rubbing and light creasing and wrinkling, wear behind gutter (binding loose). Overall very clean and carefully executed script. Some annotations by old hand, some on inserted leaves.
