A MINIATURE KOMAI BOX AND COVER.

Japan, Meiji period, 5.8 × 4.3 × 1.8 cm.
Delicateld worked casket. The cover is decorated in gold nunome and hira zôgan with floral and landscape reserves on a stylized patterned ground with chrysanthemum sprays. Further brocade ground adorns the sides and bottom. Gilt metal alloy inside. Marked in a rectangular reserve Komai gen sei. Minor wear.
