FLINTLOCK PISTOL
Probably Liège, 18th century. Gunsmith I. Deprez.
Walnut stock (shortened) carved with leaves, the end in horn. Round barrel (16 mm caliber) with brass jacket, octagonal chamber third. Silver front sight. Brass lock plate signed I. DEPREZ. Iron cock and pan cover. Partially pierced, gilt fittings and side plates with grotesque figures and foliate scrolls, trigger guard with leaf mask. Thumb plate. Pommel cap likewise with foliage and a grotesque face in relief. Iron ramrod, two silver pipes.
L barrel 23.5 cm, total length 41 cm.
