MORTAR WITH PESTLE
Persia, probably 12th century.
Bronze with reddish and green patina. Round body with beaded rings on a flat, slightly stepped foot ring, with calligraphy and floral motifs. Wide lip with almond-shaped bosses, vine, flower and leaf motifs as well as characters. Assorted pestle.
Ø 24.5 cm, H 18.5 cm.
