SEWING TRAVEL SET DESIGNED AS A WALNUT
England, Victorian, 19th century.
Walnut shell and metal chased with leaf tendrils and silver-plated. The travel set contains various sewing utensils, including a pair of scissors, a thimble, a flacon, a folding knife with mother-of-pearl fittings, an awl, a needle case, and a needle with an eye. The top of the inside is lined with later blue fabric.
H closed 4.5 cm.
