NEEDLE CASE DESIGNED AS A LEG

Probably Thuringia, middle of the 18th century. Gilt metal mounts.
The slipped-down white stocking is held together with an iron-red ribbon, in a purple rimmed shoe. The cover with gilt silver mounts, decorated with flowers. Without mark.
H 12.5 cm.
