MANTEL CLOCK WITH ARCHANGEL
Empire, France ca. 1810/15.
Gilt bronze. Featuring an Archangel seated on the case, bearing weapons and the Attributes of War. Stepped plinth, decorated with four plaques in relief depicting mythological scenes, a Bacchanal and a depiction with griffins. On spherical feet. White enamel dial. Parisian movement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. 1 key.
35 x 13 x 49 cm.
Chips on the dial. One hand replaced, not matching. Movement possibly requires revision.
