A PAIR OF IMPORTANT WALL-MOUNTED SCONCES WITH FEMALE MASKS
Louis XVI style, after a model by Pierre-Philippe Thomire from 1787, for the King's dining room at St. Cloud Castle.
Bronze, gilt and in part lacquered black. Five curved light branches, the base decorated with three female masks, and decorated with scrolled leaves, bunches of grapes, palmettes, garlands and oak leaves. Fitted for electricity.
