With engraved dedication: This Cup was presented by the Inhabitants of Manchester, to their late worthy BOROUGH REEVE, CHARLES FREDERICK BRANDT ESOR: as a public testimony of their unfeigned Gratitude not only for his eminent Services in the situation of TREASURER to the POLICE of this Town, but also for his able & unvaried attention to the General Interests of that Institution. December 25th 1800.
