Alice Davies has confirmed the authenticity of this work on the basis of a colour ektachrome and dates it to the late 1660s. In addition the work is registered at RKD, The Hague under number 107420.

Condition:
Oil on canvas, relined. Paint surface well-preserved with a fine net of craqulure. Minimal colour abrasion along the edges.
Under UV: a few retouching along the edges, in the sky and in the landscape. Varnish appears in fluorescent green.
Overall in good condition.
