WEDDING KNIFE
England, London, 1st third of the 17th century. Dagger mark The Cutlers' Company London.
Edged and rounded agate handle, with mounted agate handle end and a parcel-gilt silver knob, in part pierced. Gilt, retracted collar with stylized leaf border. Blade bolster with floral and spike motifs in relief. Bolster merging into a blade with center tip. Smith's mark with a bunch of grapes and a dagger as well as an old inventory number 164.
L 21.5 cm.
Blade corroded and heavily cleaned. Signs of use. Handle segments slightly loose.
