IRON COFFER,
probably Switzerland or Germany, dated 1580.
Dark-painted sheet iron, reinforced with bands. Hinged cover. Lock with 8 bolts, decorated with engraved leaves. The inside, painted red and with a compartment. Large padlock (later). Supplements. The base, in part pierced.
