BIBLICAL TAPESTRY "ISRAELITES CARRYING THE ARK OF THE COVENANT"
Flanders, 2nd half of the 16th century.
Depiction of a courtly society in a park, in the background the procession of the Israelites with the Ark of the Covenant and architectural elements. A wide, richly decorated border with allegorical figures, architectural elements, garlands of flowers, tendrils and fruit as well as geometric friezes.
