PAIR OF FIREPLACE CHENETS

Louis XVI, France, 18th century. With unidentified monogram CGP (probably an old owner's mark).
Gilt and chased bronze in the form of a balustrade, decorated with a vase on top and a flamed spherical ornament. Opulently decorated with garlands, laurel wreaths, quiver and arrows, leaves, branches, etc. The back with an inventory number B 121.
H 38 cm, L 37 cm.

Gilding rubbed and in part oxidized. One sphere somewhat loose.
