RELIEF FIGURE OF SAINT CATHERINE
Switzerland, probably Solothurn, ca. 1580/1600.
Wood; carved in half-relief and painted, verso flattened. Saint Catherine standing with a sword and a book as her attributes, with a small breaking wheel at her feet.
H 120 cm.
Cracks and minor losses. Losses to the base and the breaking wheel. Paintwork later.
