PAIR OF IMPORTANT LIDDED VASES "A L'ANTIQUE",
Louis XVI, after drawings by G.B. PIRANESI (Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Treviso 1720-1778 Rome), Italy, ca. 1780/1800.
"Carrara" marble. Urn-shaped vases on a gadrooned round foot with a square plinth. The walls decorated with human figures in oval medallions, and with rosettes, leaves and decorative frieze.
H 70 cm.
