This watercolour is the scetch for the monthly program booklet of Deutschlandradio 1.
Provenance: Directly purchased from the artist by the present owner, since then private collection Germany.
A.R. Penck plays the piano and the guitar and for a long time was a drummer in a jazz band. In 1996 Deutschlandradio broadcast a program with Penck and, for this occasion, had the artist design their monthly listeners’ guide. The cover of the guide shows Penck in the centre as drummer, together with Helge Leiberg and Lothar Fiedler of the then band O.T. The program booklet is included in this lot.
