Empire, the dial signed REPOND A PARIS, Paris ca. 1810/20.
Gilt bronze and "Vert de Mer" marble. The base inscribed "Le troubadour dans son enfance douce chanson d'amour chantait, mais quand ce vint l'adolescence, l'amour a son tour il faisait." Enamel dial. 2 fine, gilt hands. Parisian movement striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Fine mounts and applications. Requires servicing.
