GOLD, ENAMEL AND BRILLIANT-CUT DIAMOND BROOCH, ENRICO SERAFINI, Florence, 1960s. Yellow gold 750, 99g. Large, decorative brooch in the shape of a gold death mask of Tutankhamen with the typical Nemes head scarf in gold with a blue enamelled stripe pattern. The headband is decorated with a row of 11 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling ca. 0.50 ct. Face, beard and chest in fine matte-polished gold. The back decorated with fine volute motifs and two Egyptian ladies making music. Unsigned. 7.5 x 5.4 x 3 cm. Enrico Serafini (1913-1968) was an esteemed artist and goldsmith. Most of his work is unsigned. From the collection of a castle in West Switzerland. Directly acquired from the artist.

Grosse, dekorative Brosche in Form der goldenen Totenmaske von Tutanchamun mit dem typischen Nemes-Kopftuch in Gold mit blau emailliertem Streifenmuster. Das Stirnband verziert mit einer Reihe von 11 Brillanten von zus. ca. 0.50 ct. Gesicht, Bart und Brust in fein mattiertem Gold. Rückseitig verziert mit feinen Volutenmotiven sowie zwei musizierenden Aegypterinnen. Unsigniert. 7,5 x 5,4 x 3 cm.
Enrico Serafini (1913-1968) war ein hochgeschätzter Künstler und Goldschmied, der bekannt war für seinen naturalistisch gestalteten Schmuck. Er eröffnete seine eigene Werkstatt am 15. September 1947 an der Piazza Santa Felicita 4, in Florenz. Seine Werke sind grösstenteils unsigniert. Provenienz: Westschweizer Schlossbesitz
