BOULLE CLOCK WITH PLINTH, Louis XV, the dial and movement signed ROUSSEAU A PARIS (active circa 1740/60), Paris circa 1760. Brown tortoiseshell inlaid with partly engraved brass depicting flowers, leaves and scrolls. The case with bird of prey atop, also scrolls and flowers. The clock with fine relief-decorated dial, 24 enamel plaques, 3 hands and movement striking the 1/2 hours on bell. With gilt bronze mounts and applications. 45x28x120 cm.

Braunes Schildpatt mit teils gravierten Messingeinlagen; Blumen, Blätter und Voluten. Geschweiftes, auch inwendig eingelegtes Uhrgehäuse mit markantem Aufsatz in Form eines Raubvogels mit Voluten und Blumen sowie Volutenfüssen, auf sich nach unten verjüngendem Sockel. Fein reliefiertes Zifferblatt mit 24 Emailplaketten mit arabischen Minuten- und römischen Stundenzahlen. 3 Zeiger. Werk mit 1/2-Stundenschlag auf Glocke. Vergoldete Bronzebeschläge und -applikationen in Form von Fabelwesen, Blumen, Blättern, Voluten und Kartuschen. 45x28x120 cm.
