Régence, France, ca. 1720/30. The dial and movement signed Braillard à Versaille.
Curved case with brown underlaid tortoiseshell and engraved brass inlaid with garlands and foliate scrolls. Bronze mounts designed as leaves, shells and espagnolettes, as well as a figure of Zeus as a boy on top. Bronze door with an angel of victory (probably replaced). Brass relief dial with white enamel cartouches. Movement with verge escapement and half-hour strike on bell; with alarm mechanism, alarm disk missing.
38 × 18 × 100 cm.

Regency, England, ca. 1800, the dial signed Scholefield London.
Mahogany. Rectangular case on a slightly flared plinth with console feet, the upper part with an arched pediment. The doors flanked by free-standing, fluted columns. Gilt copper frontispiece with silver-plated chapter ring, Roman hours and Arabic minutes. The corners applied with pierced and gilt tendrils. The dial eye features a small, silver-plated chapter ring for the seconds and a date window, with a semi-circular window above for the moon phase. Movement with anchor escapement and quarter strike on bell and carillon with eight bells. Can be switched to eight or four bells and with a mute function. Three brass weights.

Patinated bronze. Seven light branches, five of which are removable and rotatable, with stylized buds and vase-shaped nozzles with round drip pans. Slightly undulating shaft with hands holding the light branches. The surfaces of the hands are alternately pointing forwards and backwards. Stepped shaft with a bud-shaped finial. Triangular foot, each with a putti head and a stylized star, scroll and feather motif on three ball and claw feet.
