SMALL GREEN HORN CLOCK WITH BASE,

Louis XV, the movement signed THURET A PARIS (Jacques III Thuret,1699 Paris 1738), the case signed DUHAMEL (François Duhamel, active ca.1730/60), Paris ca. 1730.
Light green horn and gilt bronze. Bronze dial with 12 enamel cartouches with hours in Roman numerals. 8-day movement with anchor escapement, striking the 1/2- hour on bell. Opulent mounts and applications featuring birds, branches, cartouches and decorative frieze. Behind the movement, old restoration signature and date: FAUVET-PALANCON 7 SPT 1740.
