Japan, 18th, early 19th c. Overall height 53 cm.
Wood with polychrome paint, the eyes are inlaid. A heavenly official in a red Chinese robe with a leopard and tiger skin standing in a powerful pose on a rocky pedestal. Traces of age.
Provenance: Old Swiss private collection from Southern Switzerland.
