A PAIR OF ORNAMENTAL AMPHORAS

France, ca. 1860. Signed Henry Cahieux (1823-1854) and with the foundry mark Barbedienne.
Gilt bronze. Relief-decorated with scenes from antiquity, palmettes and leaves. The top of the handles ending in heads. On "Gris Sainte Anne" marble bases, numbered 38719 at the bottom.
H 58 cm.
