Although ancient commentators also assumed this publication period, according to recent research, a date up to 35 BC is also conceivable. Probably one of the most beautiful German bibliophile books of the 20th century, decorated with Maillol's first book woodcuts. "The Vergil has become a perfect book in every respect and is considered by many connoisseurs to be the most beautiful book of the 20th century printed in Germany ever" (Eyssen p. 94). - Minimal foxing.
