Breguet was not only an ingenious watchmaker, but also an innovative businessman: For the purchase of a Breguet Souscription, the prospective buyer had to make a down payment, with the final payment due upon delivery. This provided Breguet with more security and financial maneuvering room.
Case No: 1212, large smooth silver case with pink gold bezels. Fluted center part. Case-maker stamp: Jean-Louis Joly.
Dial: White enamel dial, signed: Breguet et Fils and with secret signature at 12h. Signed on the back by the dial-maker "Borel 202".
Movement: Fine, gilt manual winding movement with ruby cylinder, parachute shock protection and temperature compensation.
