We would like to thank Dr. Barbara Stark for her additional note to the citation from "Die Kunst für alle, 2. Jg., 1887, p. 317", in which the design of the two panels, or their execution in fresco, is possibly discussed (see illustration in the online catalogue): "We then see with what dexterity Director von Schraudolph worked his way into the style of the German late Renaissance, in the graceful figures of two times of day with which he, if we are not mistaken, decorated the façade of his Stuttgart villa in fresco (...)".
