Expert opinion by Prof. G. Gentilini, 15 January 2007.
This relief is part of a series of ca. 40 items, attributable to a model by Benedetto da Maiano, dated ca. 1485/90.

The quality of the relief currently on offer is comparable to the reliefs in museums, such as in the Museo del Bargello and Museo Bardini in Florence, in the Museo Civico in Prato, in the Oratorio dell'Oca in Sienna, in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Perugia, and in the Museo della Regione Slesia in Opave (see also Gentilini, G. in: Il Museo Civico di Prato. Le colleczione d'arte, a cura die M.P. Mannini, Florence 1990, pp. 98-99, No. 29).
