Louis XVI, Switzerland, end of the 18th century.
Walnut, mahogany and plum in veneer, inlaid in rectangular reserves with light / dark geometric fillets and with an oval medallion decorated with love emblems. Rectangular body on a straight frame and fluted legs. Front with a drawer, over a hinged writing surface and double-doors. The writing surface is lined with red leather and opens up into four compartments (probably originally with drawers). Later grey marble top. Bronze mounts. 3 keys.
