Japan, 19th c. Height 15.5 cm.
Iron with gold and silver zôgan. The body decorated with landscape and flower/bird cartouches in the shape of cherry blossoms, fans and circles on rinzu ground. Various ornamental bands extend over the shoulder, neck and domed lid. Marked Kyôto Komai Shigaraki dô sei.
