China, 162 x 44.5 cm.
Hanging scroll, ink and colours on paper. Tribute to Wang Shuming's famous work 'Secluded dwelling in the Qingbian mountains' of 1366. Dedicated to Chen Rentao whose collector seal is in the lower left corner. Signed: Zhang Daqian. Four artist's seals: Daqian, Fajiang, Daqian dali, Zhang Yuan.


Provenance: Professor Thomas Ulbrich collection, purchased in the 1970s in Berlin.
