A LARGE HUANGHUALI SOUTHERN OFFICIAL'S HAT ARMCHAIR. China, 17th c. H 121, seat 61x47 cm. Stained in a dark tone.

China, 17. Jh. H 121 cm, Sitzfläche 61x47 cm.
Huanghuali, dunkler gebeizt. Geflochtene Sitzfläche. Jochförmiger Lehnenabschluss mit leicht geschwungenem Mittelpaneel und verstärkenden Spickeln in den oberen Ecken. Die Armlehnen sind elegant nach aussen geschwungen und mit einer mittleren Strebe verstärkt. Glatte Zargen. Gerade Beine mit Fussstrebe. Dunkel gebeizt.
