KOLBE, CARL WILHELM (Berlin 1757 - 1835 Dresden).Tableaux en gouache, demi-gouache et dessins à lavis: Landscapes after Salomon Gessner. 1806/1810. Total of 20 (of 25) Etchings without the title page and without the dedication page. Almost the full suite, with 5 missing. Splendid, contrasting and powerful impressions on full sheets. Minor and light foxing mostly in the margins. The upper margin with a light water stain throughout, reaching just as far as the image. Minor traces of handling.
Tableaux en gouache, demi-gouache et dessins à lavis: Die Landschaften nach Salomon Gessner. Von 1806/1810. Insgesamt 20 (von 25) Radierungen ohne das Titelblatt und ohne das Widmungsblatt. Dabei: Jahn .... Martens ... - Die beinahe vollständige Folge - es fehlen 5 Radierungen - sämtliche in prachtvollen, gegensatzreichen und kräftigen Drucken auf den vollen Bögen. Überwiegend in den Rändern minim bis leicht stockfleckig. Im oberen Rand durchgängig leichter Wasserrand, der bis leicht in die Darstellung reicht. Wenige Gebrauchsspuren. -
