China, Kangxi period, height 4.6 cm, Ø 8.6 cm.
Of conical form. Decorated with a scholar sitting by a pond with ducks. Apocryphal Chenghua mark at the bottom. Hairline crack.
Provenance: Ex collection Dr. Ursula Lienert (1986–1999 curator for East Asian and Islamic art at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg). Hence by descent.
