A hunting still life with a bittern and a dog in a landscape.

- Auction, Galerie Fievez, Brussels, 11.4.1908, Lot 120 (as Jan Weenix).

On the basis of a photograph Dr. Anke van Wagenberg assigns the present work to the oeuvre Jan Weenix, which is suggested by the artistic handling of the hunting dog and the bird. The landscape and the tree trunk were probably added by his pupil Dirk Valkenburg (1675-1721).
