Flight into Egypt. Single leaf from a Book of Hours. With floral and figural border. In gouache, pen and gold on parchment.
Probably Netherlands, 1st half of the 15th century. 16.6 × 10.8 cm. Mounted on backing board, wooden frame under glass (30.5 × 24.5 cm; verso wax seal of the framing workshop).
"Beatus venter qui te portavit et ub[er]a q[uae] luxi-...".
Professionally restored tear in lower margin (ca. 4.5 cm; minimal impact on miniature). Light backing on corners. Somewhat rubbed on right margin. Border with light wear to border. Overall good condition.
