Kelani Fatai was born in Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria in 1994. He discovered his passion for drawing at the age of six. At the age of just 19, he completed a five-year apprenticeship with a street artist. From 2014, he continued his art studies at the renowned Yaba College of Technology in Yaba, Lagos, which he successfully completed in 2019 with a Higher National Diploma specialising in painting.
Fatai draws inspiration from nature and his surroundings and uses them pictorially in his versatile impressionistic and realistic artworks. His work is included in several recognised institutions and private collections in the United States and the United Kingdom. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Nigeria and abroad. Kelani Fatai is highly regarded in both the local and international art scene. He lives and works in Papa Ajao, Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria.Works by this artist from our auctions
