FRAGMENT OF A WOMAN'S HEAD
Palmyra, early 3rd century AD.
Stone with sintering and remains of paintwork. Frontal view of a noble lady with rich hair ornaments, earrings and visible finger tips touching a veil. Mounted on a base.
L ca. 31 cm, H 29 cm. H with base 32 cm.
Fragment. Chips to the chin. Chipped in some areas.
