TEA BOWL AND SAUCER, WITH A PURPLE GROUND

Meissen, ca. 1735
With quatrefoil reserves and landscape and mercantile scenes. The inner base of the tea bowl decorated with a flower branch, the base of the saucer decorated with a riverscape with a tower in an iron-red double-ring border. Gilt rims. Underglaze blue sword marks, potter's mark in the foot ring of the tea bowl.
H 5 cm, D 11.5 cm.
