EWER / AIGUIÈRE

Renaissance, probably Venice, 16th century.
Copper, chased and engraved with leaf masks, scrolls, decorative friezes and grotesques. Ovoid vessel on a slightly conical stem and a foot with a circular base. Neck with a short, beak-shaped spout. Curved handle ending in a dragon's head.
H 35.5 cm.


Repair to the foot. The walls of the vessel are slightly dented. Foot, somewhat bent.
