A PAIR OF IMPERIAL GOLD PINS, ca. 1884.

Yellow gold, 16g.
Designed as a crowned cartouche with centred monogram of the Emperor Wilhelm II, compartment for hair on the back with the inscription "Hair from the Emperor Wilhelm I, 1884".


Emperor Wilhelm II presented the gold pins as a personal souvenir to the Metz family, directors of the Dom Hotel in Cologne, 1857-1982.
