‘Die Hard with a Vengeance’ is a 1995 American action thriller film directed by John McTiernan and written by Jonathan Hensleigh. It is based on the screenplay ‘Simon Says’ by Hensleigh and the characters created by Roderick Thorp for his 1979 novel ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’.
Gold bars such as the one presented here can be seen as Simon Gruber (Jeremy Irons) and his men raid the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Constructed from wood with resin applied to the top, stamped with numerous markings 'P255', '0483' and 'FINE' to simulate a real gold bar. The bar remains in good condition, with some minor knocks and paint loss from use during the production.
