PORCELAIN TABATIERE WITH WATTEAU PAINTING

Meissen, ca. 1745.
Rectangular tabatiere, the edges with rocaille relief. Painted on all sides with fine polychrome Watteau scenes, featuring elegant couples in park landscapes with garden sculptures in sepia. The inside of the lid is painted with a gentleman courting a lady sitting by a tree, a second lady holding a basket of flowers in her hand is standing to the left. Gilt metal mount. Without mark.
9×7×4.3 cm.
