LOT COMPRISING TWO CREAM POTS

Meissen, middle of the 18th century.
Baluster-shaped cream pots with a basket-shaped relief, one on three paw feet and painted with purple reserves in the style of Antoine Watteau, interspersed with woodcut flowers. The lid with a strawberry finial with corresponding decorations. The other on three branch feet, painted with quatrefoil reserves with European riverscapes and groups of figures, the lid with a flower bud finial and correspondingly painted, probably from a different set. Underglaze blue sword marks.
H 12 cm and 14 cm.

Provenance: Westphalian private collection.
