Copper engraving on laid paper with watermark of crowned coat of arms with bears rampant and three spheres.
Old number in pen and brown ink in the lower margin to the right: 1315.

Bartsch 18; Leesberg (New Hollstein) 11 II; Strauss 322 III (of V). – Sheet 4 of the series of the masters, in the style of Albrecht Dürer and with self portrait of the artist in the background. – Fine, richly contrasting, clear and even impression with a small to fine margin around the plate edge. The text in the lower margin is somewhat fainter in parts. The upper right margin with restored tear. Further professional restoration in the middle of the left edge of the picture in the head and shoulder of the standing young man. Individual small stains and a few handling traces. Scattered thin spots in the paper, only visible against the light. Verso with faint traces of glue. Overall still in good condition.
