CYLINDER DESK

Late Louis XVI, 19th century.
Rosewood, beech and other exotic woods, inlaid with griffins, mythical creatures and bows. Rectangular body, on a frame with five drawers, on pyramid legs. Front with four drawers over the cylinder closure. The cylinder, opening up into a pull-out writing surface and four drawers. The top, edged with pierced brass rail. Bronze mounts and applications and a brass medallion featuring a hunting trophy. 2 keys.
