Japan, 18th/19th c. Length 8 cm.
Four-case. In silver takamakie a bird in grasslands, the back in subtle nashiji on brown lacquer ground. Signed in gold lacquer Kanshôsai and kao (which refers to Iizuka Tôyô). Glass bead ojime.
Provenance: Old Swiss private collection, purchased 1986.
